Advice for Starting a Business

We asked "What is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting a business?" on our Friends of the Nutmeg Collective page and wanted to share the advice.

  1. Have a clear point of view on what you offer. Be focused, and don't stray from your vision. Be aware of the competition in your chosen market segment. You can stand apart by one of two ways - the way you price your product, or the product itself must be unique. Once you have your vision, support it with good financials and operations. Vision first, always.
