Banana Split Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way for anyone who doesn't like fruits and vegetables to add a few to his/her daily diet. This recipe is simple and it's one that I came up with for my 10 year old to please, please, please, eat a piece of fruit. The smoothie is a spin on a banana split and he asks for it every morning now.

Banana Split Smoothie

5 large or 7 small frozen whole strawberries
1/2 large banana
1 T cocoa, unsweetened
Sweetener to taste (I use 2 powdered stevia packets, but any preferred sweetener will work)
3/4 (thick smoothie) to 1 cup (thinner smoothie) of milk
Splash of vanilla extract (optional)

Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend to a smooth consistency.
Serves one 10 year old or other individual.

Bottoms up!
